Project Overview

Create an app where users can view their document and just click a button to sign the document to the the stakholders company preform services such as financial planning, tax returns and legal assistance for their clients.

 

Problems

  • The issue for the client is their clients take so long to sign documents for them to continue with the service they offer and even get paid as invoices don’t get paid on time. They are always following up via email and phone calls, which is time consuming.

  • Their clients must print the pages that need to be signed and email it back. The issue is they have with this is their clients are lazy don’t act on this. That why documents are sent in the mail and still take along time to receive sign documents. It becomes very frustrating.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Solutions

  • The client wanted to create an app where users can view their document and just click a button to sign the document and send notifications to get approval from them to pay invoices on their behalf.

  • A platform to present all documented that require signature from companies list of clientele. 

  • A Document management system for clients to view all documents sent from their service provided to receive
    a signature by simply clicking on a button that represents an electronic signature so the service provider can proceed with their duties.

  • User will simply click a button that represents an electronic signature so they can proceed with the task at hand.

 

Challenge

Create an app where users can view their document and just click a button to sign the document and send notifications to get approval from them to pay invoices on their behalf.

 

Key Objectives

  1. Users must authorise the permission to use this service and are required to sign legal documents from their appointed service provider to action on user’s behalf.

  2. Service providers will create/manage an account and users will provide 100 points of ID.

  3. Users can view current/past documents, receive notifications, and contact the service provider if needed.

 

My role on the project:

As the Lead Product UX/UI Designer, I was involved in all phases of the project, from understand the key objectives, mapping out the journey, using the key features to create an MVP to delivering the final designs.

There are two main users that need to speak two each other hence the two platforms that communicate with each other and reach that desired outcome.

 
 
 
 

Stakeholder Meeting

Initial meeting with the stakeholder provided with the scenarios, key problems happening within the business, key Target audience and a list of features and a rough sketch draft for the app wanting to produce.

 
 

I listened to the explanation of the visual drawings, so I understood what they mean as it was hard to comprehend with a glance at it. At the end of the meeting, I had clear idea of the main purpose and established the Feature prioritisation matrix, user flow, and sketches keeping in mind the main users that will be using the product.

Discussion with Stakeholder

 

Within the meeting there was me the product owner and stakeholder to discuss, features user flow and sketches and another item on agenda to discuss was the service provider side that connects with their customers.

 

A couple items we discussed to remove were, adopt your signature, authorise document button, restructure the account section with different pages for users to gain access to and needed to obtain the subject list from the stakeholder to implement with the filters section for the users to narrow their search abilities. I also mentioned the contact details not to include as they are aware of their details but wanted it displayed directly in their reach to call the service provider when needed.

 

I wanted to touch on the service provider day in the office or at home working and what software and tasks they are doing and what key items need to include within this digital product. With a list of requirements to the providers platform I advised the stakeholder it won’t be suitable to have yourself and teams interacting on a mobile as it will take too much time to complete certain processes. Therefore, a website will be much better for the entire team to interact with providing a quicker, easier, and positive experience.

 

Next steps were to start working on the Service providers feature prioritisation matrix, information architecture and sketches.
